I also have a 8600gt with that. I already have it.
First of all, ditch the power supply. Go with OCZ, Corsair, Cooler Master, Thermaltake, Antec or Silverstone for the power supply. And get above a 600W. With all that you should have an 800W with plenty of 12V rails. Definitely more than one.
If you use 64-bit then you are limiting yourself on the games and software you can use. Currently there isn't much market for 64-bit and most software isn't compatible with it. Stick with 32-bit for the moment.
The Q6600 is a decent CPU, haven't heard anything bad about so far. Does the motherboard have more than 1 PCI-E slot? Like an x16 or 2.0 x16 slot? Your card should be okay, you might think about upgrading but it's up to you. Everything else looks good.
Its Great man way better than mine lol

Do yourself a BIG favor lose the video card and upgrade to ATI Radeon HD 3870 or the 8800 GT or better.

The bottleneck on that system will be the 8600gt and the OS 'could' be better.
For the card Id go as high as i can afford, not ignoring the ATI cards (the 4870×2 is the gaming daddy at the moment) and for the OS id either go back to XP for stability (although Vista is getting better) or up to Ultimate for all the features (remember vista has DX10 whereas XP doesn't). But Home premium wont stop you playing any games so its fine.
So id definitely look into upgrading the card

a lot of the stuff looks good. two problems. One the power supply is a little weak. your system needs more power than the one that i just gave to my mom because i was building a new system I had a 650w and it would randomly turn off because of lack of power. so i put in a 700w and it ran fine. so i would suggest a 750w or greater second if you are going to go vista get the Ultimate Edition other wise it is a wast of time because the others don't support all of the right applications. but i would still suggest windows xp pro it is still the better OS

Get a better graphics card like the 8800gt or the 9800gt. or if you have more cash the GTX260/280.
